Call for Entries: The Warehouse Arts District Association (WADA) proudly announces an Artists Member Art show with the theme “More than a Women” in celebration of Women's History Month. Selected artworks fitting this theme submitted by WADA members, will remain on exhibit for the month of March in the Burka Member Lounge of the ArtsXchange located in the heart of the Warehouse Arts District. Eligibility: Members of the Warehouse Arts District Association in St. Petersburg, FL (Non-member artists eligible to participate after becoming members.)
Entry Deadline: Monday February 22, 2021
REQUIREMENTS: 2D and 3D Media
Images - Maximum: 3Dimensions: no larger than 40 in x 40 in (maximum on each side) including frame
Entry Fee: No entry fee, must be an active WADA member.
Exhibit Dates: March 5 – April 30, 2021
Opening Reception: March 13, 2021 - Second Saturday Artwalk
Location: Burka Lounge at ArtsXchange, 515 22nd Street S., St Petersburg, FL 33712
WADA Selection Committee will select one work from approximately 20 artist members from those who submit to this artist call. The selection committee will make selections based on overall impact, originality, creativity, and mastery of techniques. Selections will also be constrained by exhibition space. Decisions by the selection committee will be final. When submitting your entry, please list all the media used in the description field for your entries.

Conditions and Rules for Entry
All accepted works of art must be “GALLERY READY” when brought to the event facility (i.e. all hanging works must include an installed horizontal wire). NO SAW-TOOTH HANGERS.- Artists with 3D work requiring a pedestal MUST provide one before show opening. Pedestal(s) must be stable, white/black and tall enough for the work to be near eye level.
- Works should not weigh more than 35 pounds.
- WADA reserves the right to reject works if they are not presented in the format specified. Please contact WADA Email if you have concerns whether your work meets gallery presentation requirements.
- Artist may not substitute another work for the accepted work.
- Entries must be for sale and priced with the intent to sell. A gallery commission of 25% will be deducted from sales.
- Artists grant permission to WADA to reproduce accepted artwork for promotional uses in both printed and electronic formats.
Submission of Images
Email no more than 3 images to info@whereartismade.com. Write in the subject line: WADA Member Show More than a Woman, Artist Name.
Attach jpgs of your work and label them: ArtistLastName-ArtistFirstName 1_Title of Artwork, ArtistLastName-ArtistFirstName, 2_Title of Artwork, etc. Send all photos in the same email. Do not exceed 15 mb per email.

- File format: JPEG or JPG only
- File dimensions: 1200 pixels or greater on the longest dimension
- File size: under 5 MB
Notifications: Finalists will be notified regarding acceptance by email by February 25, 2021. Artists whose work has been selected will be responsible for delivery and pick up of work to the Burka Lounge. Artist must sign consignment agreement prior to or during dropoff.
Important Dates
- February 22, 2021: Deadline for entries.
- February 25, 2021: Notifications of acceptance emailed
- March 1, 9 am-12:30pm: Artwork drop off at the Burka Lounge. Signed Consignment Agreement Artists must be able to drop off and pick up their works.
- March 13, 6 – 9 pm. Art Walk Opening reception and next open Second Saturday Artwalk. Artists are encouraged to be available to attend.
- Exhibition will also viewable by appointment and under safety guidelines in accordance with COVID-19.
- Exhibit closes: March 31, 2021.
- Pick up artwork: April 1, 2021 from 9 – 12.30 pm or by appointment by emailing
