Thank you for your interest in supporting the St. Petersburg Warehouse Arts District Association (WADA). As an advocacy member-based organization, we work to facilitate the growth of our arts community and drive arts-related economic development within the district. Our significant efforts to date would not have been possible without help from our many supporters.

Giving can come in many forms.

  • Donations
  • Sponsorships
  • Community Partnerships

In 2017, WADA has raised over $1 million from private donors, and state, city and private grants, and sponsorships.  As a result, in October 2017, the ArtsXchange opened its doors, providing affordable studios to 28 artists as well as 2,500 square feet of community space.

WADA also increased its membership to over 250, and its broader outreach efforts to over 1,800. We hosted various educational panels on intellectual property rights, writing artists’ statements, and applying for artists’ calls on public commissions.  WADA is also weaving a powerful presence online, enabling our ability to promote members and donors: the WADA website has nearly 1,500 visitors a month, our FB page has over 8,000 likes and reached over 28,000 people in July, Instagram has nearly 1400 followers AND Twitter over 4,000.

In 2018, WADA will continue fundraising for Phase 2 of the ArtsXchange complex, which will provide more artists’ studios and 2,400 sq ft of additional community space. With a community venue in place, WADA will also turn its focus towards educational initiatives.

WADA has created a concept for a Youth Artist Marketplace with the goal to raise funds and initiate financial literacy programming for young artists which will culminate in a physical market where young artists will sell their work. This initiative targets underserved populations in Midtown by fostering artistic expression, as well as creating opportunities for entrepreneurship, learning and financial literacy. Additionally, WADA will partner with schools and community groups to complement existing arts programs.
