Call to Artists - Elements of Nature
Call for Entries The Warehouse Arts District Association is happy to announce an Artists Member Art show with the theme Elements of Nature Fire, Earth, Sky, Water The four elements of nature in classic antiquity explained the universe - representations still found in art today. Whether it's the materials you use or your interpretation of the elements, show us how these ancient concepts apply to your creative process. Artworks selected from the entries that best fit the theme will remain on exhibit in the Burka Member Lounge on the ArtsXchange campus during June and July 2022 To submit your work please complete these two steps |

Eligibility: The exhibition is open to all WADA members If you are not a member, join now.
Entry Deadline: Tuesday, May 31
Entry Fee: No fee
Specifications: All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, video, and digital/ graphic art are eligible for review. Nothing larger than 40”x40” including frame; must be gallery ready to hang (more details below)

Notification: Artists will be notified of acceptance no later than Friday, June 3
Drop Off: Works selected must be dropped off at the Burka Lounge on June 6 or 7, between 10 am and 4 pm.
Commission: WADA will take a 25% gallery commission on all sales made during this exhibition.
Exhibit Dates: June 11 through July 27
Opening Reception: Second Saturday Art Walk, June 11, 2022 5 pm to 9 pm

WADA Selection Committee will chose work from artist members who submit to this artist call. The selection committee will make choices based on overall impact, originality, creativity, and mastery of techniques as it fits the theme. Selections will also be constrained by exhibition space. Decisions by the selection committee will be final.
Addition Specifications:
All accepted works of art must be “GALLERY READY” when brought to the event facility (i.e. all hanging works must include an installed horizontal wire). NO SAW-TOOTH HANGERS.
- Artists with 3D work requiring a pedestal MUST provide one before show opening. Pedestal(s) must be stable, white/black and tall enough for the work to be near eye level.
- Works should not weigh more than 35 pounds.
- WADA reserves the right to reject works if they are not presented in the format specified. Please contact us if you have concerns whether your work meets gallery presentation requirements.
- Artist may not substitute another work for the accepted work.
- Entries must be for sale and priced with the intent to sell. A gallery commission of 25% will be deducted from sales.
- By submitting artwork for this show, artists grant permission to WADA to reproduce accepted artwork for promotional uses in both printed and electronic formats.
- Artists whose work has been selected will be responsible for delivery and pick up of work to the Burka Lounge. Artist must sign consignment agreement prior to or during drop off.
Important Dates:
- May 31 -- Deadline for entries
- June 3 -- Notifications of acceptance emailed to selected artists
- June 6 and 7, 10 am - 4 pm -- Artwork drop off at the Burka Lounge
- June 11, 5 – 9 pm -- Second Saturday Art Walk opening reception. Artists are encouraged to attend.
- July 27 -- Exhibit closes
- July 28 and 29, from 10 am - 4 pm -- Pick up artwork
