    invites its members to enter our upcoming

    member show

    Art is a Gift

    Local, Original, and Unique

    We are curating a retail art show in the Member Lounge from November to January, promoting your local art as the perfect holiday gift. This show will be featured over three second Saturdays.


    Eligibility: Members of the Warehouse Arts District Association. Not yet a member? JOIN HERE

    Exhibition Dates: Artworks selected from the entries that best fit the theme will remain on exhibit in the Burka Member Lounge at the ArtsXchange campus on the Deuces Corridor during November, December and January. The works will also be displayed in our virtual gallery.

    Opening Night: Second Saturday, November 11, 5:00 to 9:00. Additional open gallery nights on December 14, and January 1, both from 5:00 to 9:00.

    Deadline for Entry: Members are invited to submit up to two works for consideration by October 27.

    A WADA Member Benefit

    Member Art Store on the Plaza

    If you don't have a tent you can still sell your work on the second Saturday of the month

    As a WADA Member, you can sell your artwork on the second Saturday of the month. The ArtsXchange studios, galleries and businesses are open in the evening. 

    We find that smaller, less expensive art is best suited to the Art Store tent.

    • Register in advance using the button. Space is limited so don't delay.
    • Bring your artwork, with price tags attached, to the Burka Lounge on Friday, October 11, between 11:00 and 2:00. Pick up unsold works at the end of ArtWalk or on Tuesday, October 15, between 11:00 and 2:00.
    • You can submit up to 3 pieces, but nothing larger than 20" x 20".
    • We ask that you make your own price tags for the pieces you bring. All works must have an attached visible price tag with your name and the retail price.
    • Hanging art is displayed on a grid wall. 3-D pieces are placed on a table.
    • WADA retains a 35% commission on all sales made.

    You must be a WADA member to be included in the Art Store.

    The ArtsXchange campus on the Deuces Corridor is an anchor destination for art lovers. On the second Saturday of the month our campus studios, galleries and business are open. The Member Marketplace is one of the many offerings we provide to our visitors.

    Register now to reserve a space for Second Saturday 


    General Terms and Conditions

    • Offered exclusively to WADA Members for a $25 registration fee.
    • You must be an artisan selling personally handcrafted goods.
    • WADA provides a 10'x10" space on the plaza with access to electricity.
    • You provide a weather-stable tent with weights at all corners.
    • You provide all props, displays, lighting; suitable for outdoor weather conditions.
    • Space is allocated on a first come basis, after check-in with a WADA representative, on the day of the event. No set-ups prior to 3:00 pm.
    • ArtWalk runs from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Weather permitting, all vendors must remain open for the duration of the event.
    • Refunds: If you are unable to attend after making a reservation, please contact us and we will apply your registration fee to the next month. This is a rain or shine event. If you choose not to set up in unfavorable weather, your reservation will be credited to the next month.

    Drawing is one of the most fundamental forms of artmaking, with some of the earliest examples being the cave paintings in Lascaux, France from 30,000BCE. Drawing, since then, has evolved to become a powerful tool for artists to manifest their ideas into reality. WADA is committed to providing artists from all over Tampa Bay the resources necessary to sharpen this tool, hone their craft, and cultivate the artist community.

    The weekly Figure Drawing Lab is an opportunity that welcomes artists of all skill levels to practice with intention and work alongside professional artists. Space is limited, so when you register in advance, your place is guaranteed. The live models rotate weekly to keep the exercises varied and challenge the artists to improve each week.

  • Jazz & Politics: Harmony and Discourse - The Music of Duke Ellington and Candidate Forum

    Jazz & Politics: Harmony and Discourse – Join us on November 3rd for an evening that brings together local politics and timeless sounds of one of the most legendary names in jazz, Duke Ellington.

    Starting at 6:00 PM in the Tully-Levine Gallery, St. Pete City Council District 7 candidates Wengay "Newt" Newton and Corey Givens Jr. will engage in a forum, answering questions and sharing their visions for the future of the District and St. Pete.

    Following the discussion, the Encore IV Big Band will take the AX Outdoor Stage at 7:00 PM, performing works of Duke Ellington.

    Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for WADA members.
