Closing Reception for Artist Ulla Wobst

Ulla Wobst was born in Gelsenkirchen-Buer, Germany. She studied German and English literature and language (philosophical faculty) and became one of the headmasters of a German Gymnasium, responsible for the organisation of the language and fine art department and teacher for German, English Drama. 

Her paintings are internationally recognized and accepted which can be seen by the many awards won in her lifetime. Her works are described as akin to symbolism, abstract expressionism and surrealism as they are evidence of felt events, experienced fears or moments of joy and happiness.

All this that is privately felt and experienced is translated into a universal language with a wide range of interpretation for the viewer who is invited to invent a scenario of his own.
