PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

WADA offers a free weekly community art class that is open to all ages and skill levels. Participants have the opportunity to learn from professional resident artists, who have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. To ensure that everyone can participate, all art supplies are provided, and complimentary refreshments are available. This arts education program not only provides access to creative expression but also fosters a sense of community and connection through the shared experience of art-making.

June 3: Seeing & Drawing with Janie Haskins

As children we learn shortcuts for drawing - lollipop shaped trees, stick figures, rectangle houses with triangle roofs. In this class, we’ll move beyond that and learn how to draw what we see. We’ll talk about how to measure a subject and deal with perspective. And we’ll practice some basic rules and principles that will quickly improve your drawing skills.
