I AM AN ARTIST! Say it! Not,
“I am trying to be an artist.”
or “I want to be an artist.”
Say, “I am an artist.”
until it becomes your complete identity.
Say it, over and over, and out loud.
A 2nd generation Mad-Hungarian American, Janos, had to be an artist. The American industrial landscape was his muse. Three-dimensional paintings, steel sculpture and digital photography were some of the media used to express his vision of the American Dream. Enyedi’s career spanned 40 years.
His studios were in Washington, DC and the surrounding Virginia suburbs. He exhibited in U.S. commercial galleries in Washington, DC, New York City, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina, and internationally in Hungary, Germany, France, South Korea and various U.S. Embassies throughout the world. His work is in several museums, corporate and private collections.
Writing a new chapter in 2011, Janos and Diana packed up Furnace Road Studio in northern Virginia. They moved to St. Petersburg, FL to renovate a warehouse into a loft, living/studio space. It became their oasis in the city, just minutes from the beach. During renovation, Janos had a heart attack from which he did not recover.
