Spooktacular ART for “Artober” Second Saturday ArtWalk

Well over 200 artists representing painting, drawing, pottery, glass, sculpture, multimedia and more are featured in some 45 studios and galleries open for your discovery during ArtWalk from 5-9 p.m. You can choose to spend an entire evening just visiting your favorite type of arts.

  • Ceramic Arts - Visit Charlie Parker Pottery, Brick Street Clay Studio, the Clay Center of St. Petersburg and the Morean Center for Clay to see over 75 potters and their creations.
  • Fine Arts - Visit the Warehouse Arts District’s ArtsXchange with some 26 studios, ArtLofts with 18 studios, or Artworks with 18 artists or Five Deuces Gallery artists. Galleries including Articles, the Leslie Curran Gallery, the Resale galleries, Art by Art.
  • Glass Arts - over 20 working glass artists can be seen at the Duncan McClellan Gallery, Zen Glass and the Morean Arts Hot Shop.
  • Craft Arts - Visit Craftsman House and Florida Craft Art for the finest crafts arts in Florida.

Five Arts District come together as one arts destination. The Central Arts, EDGE, Grand Central, Warehouse Arts and Waterfront Arts districts unite once a month as Opening Night feature their studios and galleries. Many of our ArtWalk galleries celebrate the opening of brand new exhibitions each month. It’s an exciting time to see new work by local and national artists, enjoy refreshments and often live music.

A very St. Pete informal community art fest as you meet with old friends and talk to new people who support the arts like you do. Make an evening of it with dinner, drinks or dessert at a nearby bar or restaurant.

Many thanks to Courtyard by Marriott St. Petersburg Downtown and Duke Energy for supporting ArtWalk sop that the entire evening and trolley transportation is all free. The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance coördinaties the St. Petersburg Second Saturday ArtWalk with the EDGE District, the Grand Central District and the Warehouse Arts District associations.

ArtWalk is a St. Petersburg Arts Alliance economic strategy to small businesses. Shop local! The Arts Alliance is the umbrella organization serving this vital arts and cultural community. Join us in advocating for the arts, facilitating the growth of our arts community and driving arts-related economic development in St. Petersburg.

Our free trolley shuttles will have an art guide on board talking about each venue on our one continuous trolley loop. You can park for free on 1st Ave N and 1st Ave S from 15th St to 30th Street. In addition, venues with large free parking lots are Soft Water Studios, the Morean Center for Clay at the Train Station, the Clay Center of St. Petersburg, and the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum.

Duncan McClellan Gallery – 2342 Emerson Avenue South – Vibrant Perspectives I opens with works by Claire Kelly and Jennifer Violette. Guest artist Claire Kelly will be on hand to blow glass, beginning at 6:15pm. Also opening will be a special exhibition by the September DMG School Project residency artists, Aya Oki and Steve Hagan. Aya and Steve spent the month of September creating new bodies of work in the hot shop, and will be back from California and Pennsylvania to assist Claire Kelly in the glassblowing demonstrations. COLORStPete - 2215 6th Avenue South - COLORStPete is the painting partnership of husband and wife team Andre Kupfermunz and Michelle Passoff. The company currently produces paintings on corrugate aluminum, Hardi Board and canvas for interior and exterior, residential and commercial, design.
