Application Deadline for WADA Artists Relief Fund Extended!

The Warehouse Arts District Association created the WADA Artists Relief Fund to help local artists during this time of business disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the generosity of many donors and a grant from the Foundation for a Healthy St. Pete, these grants are unrestricted cash award, not a loan.

Criteria for Consideration

1. You do NOT need to be a WADA member to qualify, all artists encouraged to apply.
   
2. 18 years or older
3. Full-time resident of Pinellas County
4. The artist must provide a statement of their overall financial needs taking into consideration all household income not just their art income
5. Artist must put in writing their hardship and why they need the relief
6. Applicants cannot be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
7. Cannot have a conflict of interest with board or staff of the Warehouse Arts District Association

How it Works - Process

• Applications will be accepted through midnight, Friday, June 26, 2020.
• Evaluation of application will take place between June 27 – July 9, 2020
• Awardees will be contacted by phone on Friday July 10, 2020.
• Awards will be distributed by Friday, July 17, 2020.

• This is an unrestricted cash award; it is not a loan.
  WADA anticipates far greater need than this fund will be able to accommodate.
• Funds will be awarded based on demonstrable need, with a focus on taking care of the most vulnerable among us.
• Applications will be evaluated by a volunteer advisory committee
• The committee will use a matrix of needs questions to determine the great need.
• The committee will evaluate every application submitted and apply scoring using a set of guidelines.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered. We will notify the applicant immediately so that they can resubmit immediately.
• All those who apply will be notified by email whether you receive the funds or not.
