Join us as we commemorate the historic event of September 11, 2001. The event is intended to also acknowledge the public and private donors who have helped make this special monument happen.
Framing the iconic piece of steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center is a 25’ tall Phoenix Wing symbolizing rebirth. It sits atop a pile of white limestone, reminiscent of the crumbled concrete that littered ground zero in the aftermath of the attack.
Opening Remarks: Sculptor Mark Aeling describes the intent of the monument and current progress.
Poetry Reading: Author Helen Wallace will read her poem which will be etched in the base of the steel beam.
Significant of the Monument: Scott Neil shares the significance of the monument in the community, the role of the military & first responders.
Donor Recognition: Ron Schlosser will recognize donors and discuss donor opportunities.
