About the Art Historian

Danielle Garcia joins WADA after serving for several years at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens in Jacksonville, FL. As the Museum’s Accessibility Coordinator, Danielle primarily worked with visitors from diverse communities and with diverse abilities, ensuring that museum experiences are welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all.  Danielle graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Florida and has experience in museum education, curatorial work, and studio arts at Princeton University Art Museum, the Harn Museum of Art and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. 

Danielle is quadrilingual, speaking Tagalog, Spanish and French in addition to English. Danielle is siya in Tagalog and goes by any pronouns. Her professional artistry extends through the visual arts into multimedia, theatre and film and is a skilled Wing Chun Kung Fu martial artist.
