Event Description
Join us on Wednesday, January 25, 6:30 - 9:30pm for our monthly education event to share with artists the importance of telling the story of their art and the elements involved. Engage in conversation with prominent St. Petersburg artist iBOMS, and community conveners Scott Terry of Mahogany Gallery and Hillary Van Dyke of the Green Book of Tampa Bay about the new exhibition, The Wiz Reimagined!
PART I, 6:30 - 7:15pm: "The Wiz: Reimagined" Artist Talk with Zulu Painter and iBOMS, moderated by Scott Terry of Mahogany Gallery
PART II, 7:15 - 9:30pm: Movie Screening of "The Wiz" hosted by Hillary Van Dyke of the Green Book of Tampa Bay
Exhibition Description
“The Wiz Reimagined” is a collaborative Art Exhibit by iBOMS and Zulu Painter opening January 14th, 2023 in the Tully-Levine Gallery at the ArtsXchange. The showcase is inspired by the film The Wiz, produced in the 70’s, which was adapted from the stage show. Their collaborative works speak of the life lessons and examinations of humanity explored in the film.

You are able to access the ArtsXchange and all of the studios, galleries and businesses on the campus. Here's how:
Southbound on 22nd St S
Drive past the "Road Closed, Local Traffic Only" signs at 5th Ave S. Make a right turn into the ArtsXchange parking lot between the Rise Memorial and 7C Music.
Northbound on 22nd St S
Detour west onto 7th Ave S, and go north at 24th St. At 5th Ave S, turn east. Make a right turn onto 22nd St S and enter between the Rise Memorial and 7C Music.
