Healing Walls: Bringing Artful Color & Light Where it is Most Needed

Rea, an Eckerd College OLLI Art Instructor is a painter who has produced and exhibited artwork since 1987. She divides her time between Helsinki, Finland and St Petersburg, Florida.

A large part of her painting includes murals. She creates soothing environments in hospitals, nursing homes, other health facilities and schools. Rea Nurmi has a unique gift for opening new horizons through art to those whose lives are restricted. Her large works of gardens and other nature scenes relax both staff and patients. Her intention is to bring color and light into the world and take the art where it is most needed.
