The Warehouse Arts District Association

is looking for submissions from local artists for 


A show exploring ideas of Pride and Identity


Themes we encourage you to consider:


Things aren’t always what they seem

Appearances can be misleading

Identity is unique and personal


We invite you to help us celebrate Pride Month at the ArtsXchange

Artwork selected from the entries that best fit the theme will remain on exhibit in the Tully Levine Gallery on the ArtsXchange campus during June in recognition of Pride month

Conditions and Rules for Entry:

  • Eligibility: The exhibition is open to local artists.

    Entry Deadline: May 24

    Entry Fee: No fee


  • Specifications: All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, printmaking, video, and digital/ graphic art are eligible for review. Nothing larger than 40”x40” including frame; must be gallery ready to hang (more details below)


  • Notification: Artists will be notified of acceptance by email no later than end of day, May 31

    Art Drop Off *: Works selected must be dropped off at the Burka Lounge on Monday, June 3 or Tuesday, June 4, between 11 am and 3 pm (515 22nd St South). Art that is not received by the deadline cannot be included in the show. 

    Commission: WADA will take a 35% gallery commission on all sales made during or as a result of this exhibition.

    Exhibit Dates: June 6, 2024 to June 27, 2024 

    Opening Reception: Second Saturday Art Walk, June 8, 5 pm to 9 pm.

  • End of show Art Pick-Up *: Friday, June 28, Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, 2024, between 11 am and 3 pm. 

  • *Applying to this call confirms that you, or your designate, are able to drop off and pick up on these days.

WADA Selection Committee will chose work from artist members who submit to this artist call. The selection committee will make choices based on overall impact, originality, creativity, and mastery of techniques as it fits the theme. Selections will also be constrained by exhibition space.  Decisions by the selection committee will be final.

Addition Specifications:

All accepted works of art must be “GALLERY READY” when brought to the event facility (i.e. all hanging works must include an installed horizontal wire). NO SAW-TOOTH HANGERS. 

  • Artists with 3D work requiring a pedestal may need to provide they own black or white pedestal to support their work
  • Works should not weigh more than 35 pounds.
  • WADA reserves the right to reject works if they are not presented in the format specified. Please contact us if you have concerns whether your work meets gallery presentation requirements.  
  • Artist may not substitute another work for the work we accept. 
  • Entries must be for sale and priced with the intent to sell. A gallery commission of 35% will be deducted from sales. 
  • By submitting artwork for this show, artist grant permission to WADA to reproduce accepted artwork for promotional uses in both printed and electronic formats.
  • Artists whose work has been selected will be responsible for delivery and pick up of work to the Burka Lounge.  Artist must sign consignment agreement prior to or during drop off.

    • MAY 24 --  Deadline for entries
    • MAY 31 -- E-mail notifications to all artists sent by end of day (check your spam/junk folder to be sure)
    • JUNE 3 and 4, 11 am - 3 pm -- Artwork drop off at the Tully Levine Gallery, 515 22nd St South
    • JUNE 8, 5 – 9 pm -- Second Saturday Art Walk opening reception.
    • JUNE 27 -- Show closes
    • JUNE 28, JULY 1 and JULY 2, 11 am - 3 pm -- Pick up unsold artwork from the Tully Levine Gallery, 515 22nd St South
